For our first married Easter Family Home Evening, Austin and I dyed Easter eggs together. Here we are just about to start!
Here I am mixing up the color tablets for our egg dye.
We got some cute little cups for Easter to put the dye into for our fun family home evening...aren't they cute?
This particular paint was a new one for me...these sponges came with three packets of color...to spackle your Easter eggs with! Austin thought it was the greatest idea ever, and so he mostly spackled the eggs he had for the Easter egg-stravaganza. :)
Austin being silly. It is never a dull moment in our home...we both are children at heart, and love every moment of it! :)

These are the first two eggs of mine that finished...mine was put into the red color. Can you tell we found out that the red was actually a brilliant pink? How fun!
Austin had so much fun spackling, I decided to give it a try.
Once we were almost done with our eggs, we did other fun things...like create little love messages to one another! :)
The finished product! The eggs I did read: Easter 2011, Melissa, Austin, Little Girl Palmer...and the top right handed speckled egg is mine too. Austin did the other eggs with his spackling expertise. :) I especially like the one he did in the top left corner with the pretend cracks in it. :) We loved our fun evening!!! Happy Easter everyone!!! :)

Very fun you 2!! Those eggs turned out beautiful:) I am just now catching up on your ultra sound news....congratulations....You are going to be great parents! I'm glad you're feeling better so now you can enjoy the pregnancy:) You look very cute pregnant (even if it is just a bump)

Last year was the first year I didn't dye eggs with the kids....we just never found the time....P is already asking about it this year...guess I need to find the time. Might just have to be when L's in bed at night just with P...

Austin made that egg...his first blue egg he made he decided to spackle with red paint over the blue to make it purple. :) It turned out darker than he thought, but still pretty neat. :)
